Part of my flight training is to fly to an air traffic-controlled airport. Fun fact! Not all airports have a control tower, my home airport for training is one such airport. To qualify for the Rotor General Aviation license, I have to fly at least three closed pattern loops at a controlled tower. Boca is known for not always being accommodating to student pilots since it’s so busy with lots of private jet traffic. This was a great learning lesson in listening, remembering, and following directions while also evaluating those directions for ability to do them as well as personal safety. As a side note most new pilots find interactions with ATC a bit nerve racking at first. I was no exception, but this controller was overall very nice to me as new pilot!
